What?
The words “Hikayat Kain” translates roughly to “Tale of Cloth” from the Malay language. It is a loose photographic documentary project to create a record of women and their connection to the past via traditional clothing of their cultures.

Who?
Women across Asia with connections to traditional garments that are historically and culturally important. The women aren’t necessarily professional models but rather mostly just everyday people with a share love for the beauty in their cultures. Interested to volunteer for this project?
